1. About these terms

These terms and conditions set out how Bright Futures SEN, Family & Adult Support provides support services to clients through this website, by email, by phone, and by any other agreed method of contact. By booking, purchasing, or using my services, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. About the service

Bright Futures SEN, Family & Adult Support offers practical support, guidance, advocacy-style support, and assistance for families and adults. This may include support with matters such as:

EHCP and SEN support

benefits and appeals support

family support

adult support

form filling, letters, and practical guidance

Services are provided with reasonable care and skill.

3. What I do not provide

I am not a solicitor, barrister, regulated financial adviser, or medical professional unless expressly stated otherwise. My services do not replace independent legal advice, regulated benefits advice where required, medical advice, or any statutory assessment or decision-making process carried out by schools, local authorities, the Department for Work and Pensions, tribunals, or other organisations.

4. Bookings

Bookings can be made through the website, by email, or by another agreed method. A booking is only confirmed once I have agreed it with you. I may refuse or cancel a booking where:

I do not have availability the matter falls outside the scope of my services there is abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour a conflict of interest arises I believe I cannot safely or appropriately assist

5. Fees and payment

Fees for services will be confirmed before work begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment terms are: payment when service booked unless arranged otherwise. Work may not begin until payment is received where this has been agreed any staged payment arrangements must be followed as agreed If payment is overdue, I may pause work until payment is brought up to date.

6. Cancellations and rearranged appointments

If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give at least 24 hours’ notice where possible. Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, I reserve the right to charge:

If I need to cancel or rearrange, I will offer an alternative appointment or, where appropriate, a refund for any amount already paid for that appointment.

7. Client responsibilities

You agree to:

provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge

provide documents and evidence in good time

check drafts and submissions carefully before they are sent tell me promptly if any information changes ensure you have authority to ask me to act where information relates to another adult or child I am not responsible for delays, errors, or outcomes caused by incomplete, inaccurate, or late information provided by you or by third parties.

8. Outcomes and decisions

I cannot guarantee any particular result, award, assessment outcome, school decision, tribunal outcome, or response from any third party. All final decisions are made by the relevant organisation or authority, not by Bright Futures SEN, Family & Adult Support.

9. Drafting and submissions

Where I help prepare forms, letters, statements, or supporting documents: drafts are provided based on the information you give me you are responsible for checking the final version before submission unless expressly agreed, you remain responsible for submitting documents to the relevant organisation Where I submit something on your behalf, I will only do so where this has been clearly agreed.

10. Communication

I aim to respond within 1-2 working days during normal working hours. I do not guarantee immediate responses outside working hours, on weekends, or on bank holidays.

11. Confidentiality

I will treat your information with care and confidentiality and will only use it as needed to provide my services, comply with legal obligations, or where otherwise permitted or required by law. Further information about how personal information is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.

12. Data protection

I handle personal information in line with applicable UK data protection law. You should only send personal information and documents that are relevant to the support requested. Where you provide information about another person, you confirm that you have the right or authority to share it for that purpose.

13. Intellectual property

Any documents, wording, templates, guides, and website content created by Bright Futures SEN, Family & Adult Support remain my intellectual property unless otherwise agreed. You may use documents I prepare for your personal matter, but you may not copy, sell, share commercially, or reproduce my materials for business use without written permission.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bright Futures SEN, Family & Adult Support will not be liable for:

indirect or consequential loss

loss caused by decisions of third parties

delays outside my reasonable control

loss resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you

My total liability in relation to any service provided will not exceed the amount paid by you for that service.

15. Ending services

Either party may end the working arrangement at any time. If services are ended after work has already started, I reserve the right to charge for work already completed and any non-refundable time already set aside. Any outstanding fees remain payable.

16. Complaints

I will aim to review your complaint fairly and respond within 5 working days.

17. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always appear on this website and will apply from the date shown at the top of the page.

18. Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable law says otherwise.
